FEATURED ARTISTS:
Mary Louise Chown has told stories across Canada and in Australia and Great Britain, and has taught storytelling to all ages. Believing that that every story is a teaching story and all stories are sacred, she brings her shamanic training into her storytelling in healthcare settings and schools. She co-founded the Manitoba Storytelling Guild and has served as Storyteller in Residence at the Winnipeg Millenium Library. Mary Louise is also a trained artist, working in all media. She lives on a farm near the picturesque hamlet of River Hills in Manitoba, where she keeps bees and laying hens, makes art in her studio overlooking the water, and researches stories of local strong women.
Gail Burgan Rosen – For many years, I told stories, and facilitated storytelling workshops. I loved helping the Healing Story Alliance come to life and still value the work all of you do. Life brings change. For now, my focus is on the visual art of mosaics. I call them PeaceWorks Mosaics. PeaceWorks, because peace is what making them brings me, and I hope a little to those who see them. Please visit www.PeaceWorksMosaics.com.
